Mummy Apps

I consult my trusty iPhone for every decision and concern. I use apps to keep me organized (including the blogger App or midnight postings).

My primary App is "Sprout", it tracks everything Thomas does from feeding to sleeping, diapers to doctors appointments. The front page shows everything at a glance and offers daily 'news' and moments to watch for. You can track milestones and immunizations. The MD section allows you to track your appointments and enter questions so you don't forget, in fact at our last appointment I handed the phone over to the doctor and he entered all of the immunizations Thomas was receiving.

This app keeps everything in its place and keeps me organized. I use it to track Thomas's eating schedule with a nursing timer and graphs to determine patterns. I started using the sleeping portion as well and determined my little mans tears were because he was over tired only getting 10-11 hours a day instead of the needed 14+.

In short... I love it!

Thomas has progressed beyond SPROUT (and I got overwhelmed with all of his new feats to log everything all the time). We still use it for milestones, but I gave up tracking sleep, poo and feeds.

Now we've moved on to Apps FOR Thomas... Books are his BIG thing right now. This favorite being The Monster at the End of the Book

This App is interactive.. Grover reads the story, but needs constant help from the reader. He also reacts to touch and delays with prompts and giggles. My babe loves it. We also have the sister App... Another Monster at the End of the Book, but its not a huge hit. Thomas isn't a fan of Elmo, he's a Grover fan thru and thru.

We tried other eBooks, but none compare. Sadly Sandra Boynton books fell flat despite the love we both share for her books. Dr. Seuss fell into that category as well.

Our only other App of interest right now is YouTube. Thomas loves his Muppets and can't get enough of Mahna Mahna.
